Carlos Montes

Carlos Montes started his sculpture studies at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, (PUCP) in 2004 and won the “Winternitz” faculty prize for academic performance in 2008. During the next years he decides to complement his artistic formation learning and working with CGI graphics software and photography.

In his last artistic projects we can see the problematic situations of the contemporary life like distasteful labor conditions, avarice, poverty and debt and consumerism. In his artwork language is recurrent the animal forms or anthropomorphic beasts who represents the condition and psyche of the human nature, and also the values of the contemporary civilization. He actually lives in Lima, Peru doing his artwork.
